Do you think we should try to see what is wrong with a few that aren't working properly also?

The one at my desk should be checked. The one that's down needs a power supply. There's a used one for sale in Berwick on Kijiji. Not sure that will solve the problem since I took the processor apart. To modify it to work the way I want to work with Symphonic Choirs, it will cost more than a used one I could buy on Kijiji.

Yes, the 1 on your desk needs to be looked at, my laptop, the 1 in the bedroom should be updated. Your dead 1 is another story, guess you shouldn't have taken it apart. 

The dead one might be fine with a new power supply? I wont know unless I try it. The one in Berwick is identical to the one that is shot.

Your's needs to be looked at by a professional. As does the desktop at my desk. The one in the bedroom seems fine. Might just need a good cleaning.

We may have to talk to Norman again and find that guy in Yarmouth who took over Norman's customers.

I was talking to Cora today at work about where she took her computers to get fixed. Think the next time I am in Digby, I will check them out.

Yeah....might as well talk to them and get an idea what they are about before you take the computer up.

Yup that's what I was thinking. Plus if you could make a list of stuff for me to ask about it would also help. 

I'm not buying any parts from them. It would cost a lot more than buying a used computer that's already working.

I meant for the ones to be looked at that need to be updated like the one in front of you and the bedroom one. If we aren't going to get them fixed up, no sense on getting another computer of any sort.

What is wrong with the one in the bedroom? It works fine for me. It's nothing like this pile of shit that's beside me.

Well it doesn't work for you, so it must need to be upgraded and cleaned. The 1 beside you (The desk top) needs something. If we aren't going to get them working right why bother with any others. Mine needs to be done, think the fan is going or something.

It doesn't need to be fixed. If anything, we could add more ram to that computer and it would probably do the job I need. However, that case is huge. I'd like something a little more compact to fit in smaller places.

The current ram says 3gb, but it's actually 4gb. It has two 1GB cards and a 2GB card. There's room for 4 cards of ram. If you can find four 4gb cards of ram, I'd get 16gbs of ram in that computer and it would be enough for what I need.

So write that on paper for me to take and ask about to see what they say, since you already been checking things out on the internet. Could we get the guts put into the one that crashed and then add what you want, if not expensive.

We can get the guts to put in that computer, but it would be cheaper to buy a used one already built. To upgrade the broken one to match what I want, it's going to cost me about $1500, whereas I can buy a used one for less than $600. Plus, I don't know if the CPU chip is going to work after I took it out and tried to put it back in. I may have to get a professional to refit the thing and hopefully it will work. Just so you know.....it only needs a power supply to go back to working the way it did before. There was one on Kijiji for $80, but the guy never got back to me.

Also, I don't think writing the 4gb of ram on a sheet of paper will do any good. You'll need to take the actual chip to show them what we have as there are different types of ram chips. And you have to be careful not to damage them as they are highly sensitive.

Well it don't matter at the moment anyways.

I was talking to the young guy, Justin, today at work. He bought Diane's sister's car for $800. He asked me about the Cavalier. I told him I wanted $1000. I also told him it was inspected and his face dropped. The one he just bought is running out in a few months. Then he asked me how many kms and I told him 219,000. His has 320,000. Then he asked me what year mine is, and i told him 2001 and he said his is a 1997. Then he said.."I'd rather not talk about it anymore, I think I'm going to be sick..." In other words, he wishes he had waited.

We will get the computers fixed and something for you later on....cheer up
