So are you telling me that I am getting it for you and need to get it tomorrow after work if still there.

I don't know. It's kind of a waste now. They want $100 more for it now. 

I'd really like to have one, though. It would be perfect for recording. I could take the laptop out to the music room for recording and do the mixing and mastering on that computer.

I do want it for recording. But, it's easier to transport the laptop out to the music room. It's the mixing and finishing of the song that takes up most of the space, not the actual recording part. When I mix and master is when I"ll be using the East West Quantum Leap Symphonic Choirs and Symphonic Orchestra programs. Those are what I want the new computer for. Recording Dave and Reg take up no ram or cpu whatsoever. Or barely any ram or cpu.

Basically, it will be for finishing up the songs with all the plugins and programs that normal computers can't handle.

Normal computers could handle it if equipped with the correct software.

Yeah......but it would cost as much or more than the new computer and you'd still have an old computer with some new hardware. It's not worth it.

Maybe, but we can't afford to get a new computer every time something doesn't work for you. Besides we should have the 1's we got working properly or there's no need in getting new things if we can't fix what we got to work with. Also if you can't get mine working right on some things how are you going to be able to work on a new 1. And no it will be no difference in them.

I didn't mean you couldn't have a new computer. I just mean with all the stuff we got it's hard to make room to put new things, especially big ones.

There's room now that one of the computers is deceased.

No, I haven't. There's not very many that suit my taste. I'll have to look again.

I don't buy a computer for it's looks. I buy it to suit my needs and the only need I have is recording music. Looking through all of them, the best one for fulfilling my needs and price is the one I've been looking at. There are others that are better, but I'll be paying $1400+ to get it. I'm happy with the one I like.
